IPWUN – Independent Press Workers’ Union of Nepal was formally launched by a Conference of workers working at printing-press industries of Kathmandu Valley, held in 08 February 1980.
This Union is the oldest- recognised central union of the workers working in printing industries; registered under Trade Union Act 1992. The Union established for the promotion and protection of the rights & interests of the printing-press workers had played crucial and active role during the Democratic Movement of 1990 and then after.
