UNIPHIN Conducts Successful 3rd Annual Planning Meeting to Create a Decent World of Work for Healthcare Workers

Kathmandu, March 12, 2023 – UNIPHIN (United Nations Initiative for Public Health in Nepal) is excited to announce the success of their 3rd annual planning meeting held on March 1st, 2023. The meeting brought together 45 participants from 20 hospitals within Kathmandu valley who shared the common mission of creating a decent world of work for all healthcare workers in the country.

The event was graced by the presence of several distinguished guests, including Brother Adrian, Director of UNI Care, Brother Rajendra, UNI Apro Regional Secretary, Brother Jesse, UNI Care Organizing Coordinator, Brother Shankar, UNI Nepal President, and Brother Tilak, UNI Apro Organizing Coordinator. Their presence and guidance were instrumental in paving the path for UNIPHIN’s future activities.

The delegates from various hospitals and healthcare unions shared their experiences and ideas, making the event a great success. The discussions focused on various aspects of healthcare worker well-being, including fair wages, safe working conditions, access to training and development opportunities, and protection of workers’ rights.
